Europe’s C&I
energy storage market has entered a new phase. For many businesses,
the question is no longer whether to deploy energy storage, but how to deploy
it efficiently, operate it intelligently, and generate stable long-term
returns. Yet several challenges remain: electricity prices are increasingly
volatile; solar generation does not always align with peak demand; installation
and commissioning can be time-consuming; and cross-border service and
maintenance often add additional operational complexity. All
of these factors can directly impact project returns and operational
efficiency.
Building on successful
deployments across multiple European markets with the PowerHill 215kWh (air‑cooling)
and 233kWh (liquid‑cooling) models, Dunext now introduces the new PowerHill
261kWh, a next-generation liquid-cooling all-in-one C&I BESS designed
around three priorities: higher value, stronger safety, and simpler operation.
What European C&I
customers truly need is not a standalone battery, but a clearly bankable energy
asset that delivers the right capacity without over‑investment, generates
visible returns without high maintenance costs. Dunext’s answer is clear: add
value where it counts, cut cost where it doesn’t.
More Capacity, More
Revenue Streams
The PowerHill 261kWh uses
314Ah high‑capacity LFP cells, delivering 261kWh per cabinet with a round‑trip
efficiency of ≥90%. It supports up to 10 units in parallel, scaling flexibly to
MWh capacity. PowerHill 261kWh is designed to help customers capture value
across multiple market opportunities. Its dual‑meter solution is compatible
with third‑party inverters, a key feature that enables seamless integration
into both new and existing PV systems, while PV generation data can be
visualized directly on the DuLink platform for clear performance tracking. The
system supports a range of operating modes including maximized self‑consumption,
time‑of‑use scheduling, electricity market trading and backup power, and can be
configured to enable zero‑feed‑in and demand control. Auxiliary power can be
drawn from the cabinet or from an external source and metered separately, with
a dual‑supply transfer switch that optimizes overall returns. For on/off‑grid
applications, the system offers two switching modes: seamless switching
(<20ms) ensures safer, more stable power for critical loads, while a wall‑mounted
seconds‑mode (20s) provides a cost‑saving alternative. One system with multiple
value streams gives customers a clearer view of long‑term asset value, not just
upfront payback.
Comprehensive Active
Safety: Protecting Asset Performance
Safety standards for
energy storage in Europe are tightening. Insurers, financial institutions, grid
operators, and project owners are all paying greater attention not only to
technical compliance, but also to the operational risks behind it, from
unplanned downtime and fire hazards to insurance exposure and asset
interruption. The PowerHill 261kWh addresses these concerns through a
full-chain active safety architecture spanning the cell, electrical system, and
fire-protection layers.
At the cell and pack
level, the system uses Tier 1 LFP cells, six-sided pack insulation, and
an IP67-rated battery pack design. At the electrical level, a six-layer
protection architecture covers the entire power path from the battery pack and
high-voltage box to the PCS and grid connection. Pack-level isolation helps
prevent faults from spreading, while microsecond-level PCS protection enables
rapid interruption when abnormal conditions are detected. At the fire
protection level, PACK‑level aerosol fire suppression responds in milliseconds,
while a dry contact interface connects to building fire systems for remote
alarm capability.
For Dunext, safety is
not simply about meeting compliance requirements. It is about protecting the
customer’s asset and supporting reliable operation throughout the system
lifecycle.
Simpler Installation,
Commissioning and Maintenance
Labor cost remains one
of the most significant hidden expenses in the European C&I storage market.
Complex installation, lengthy commissioning, specialist engineer scheduling,
and cross-border troubleshooting can all add time and cost well beyond the
initial equipment purchase.
The PowerHill 261kWh
simplifies every stage. Installation: the all-in-one cabinet design minimizes
complex external wiring and enables faster on-site deployment. Commissioning:
via the DuLink platform and Smart EMS, site start‑up takes just 30 minutes,
with system response time below 100ms. Operation: 24/7 unattended operation
with cell‑level real‑time alerts and minute‑level data updates to
improve fault visibility and reduce response time. Maintenance: automatic
coolant replenishment eliminates the need for coolant replacement for 10 years,
reducing maintenance time by 90%. The low‑GWP refrigerant R513A meets EU F‑gas
regulations ahead of requirements. With local spare parts warehouses and
service teams across Europe, the company provides on‑site support within 48
hours in core markets. Dunext takes on the complexity of R&D and
engineering, so customers can enjoy simplicity and efficiency.
Built for the Real
Needs of European C&I Storage
Safety, returns, and
simplicity, these are the core values of the PowerHill 261kWh. And they are
exactly what European C&I customers care about most: Is the system safe?
Can it deliver stable returns? Will it be easy to operate and
maintain?
Dunext answers with
proven capability: Safety comes from full-chain active protection rather than
isolated safety features. Returns come from access to multiple operating
scenarios rather than a single revenue stream. Ease of use comes from
simplified installation, intelligent operation, and reduced maintenance, not
just a slogan.
By adding value to
product performance and customer returns while subtracting operational cost and
complexity, Dunext’s PowerHill 261kWh empowers European C&I customers with
high‑value, low‑burden, stable‑return energy assets, unlocking new value in
storage investment.
